God Of War 4 Muspelheim Cipher Locations shown here are to Unlock Muspelheim Realm in God of War. You must find 4 Language Ciphers but here we show all 7. They are in a purple chest that has a lock that looks like a mask.
Muspelheim is a realm that is completely optional. New armor and trial challenges that task you with defeating enemies with different modifiers. To upgrade the Blades Of Chaos you must defeat the Valkyrie in Muspelheim.
Some of the endgame challenges are tough so upgraded gear should be a priority. The order of the cipher locations is shown here from the beginning of the game (easy and quick) to the end (unreachable – Like the mountain Cipher).
Each one will be shown with the mission needed to be completed to reach the purple chest. Below are timestamps and a text guide.
God Of War Cipher Locations For Muspelheim Fire Trials
Shores Of The Nine Cipher (Path to the Mountain) #1
The first cipher is located at the very beginning of the game. There is no way anyone missed this chest location lol. Not much to say here…
Forgotten Caverns Cipher (Free Roam) #2
The second spot on the list is located northeast in the lake of the nine with a (dead??) dragon near it. Board the boat dock like a boss, climb your way up like a professional rock climber with an 80lb kid on your back.
Lookout Tower Cipher (Free Roam) #3
The third purple chest spot is south. As soon as you hit land there will be one of those spiny things on your left. Hit it till the spikes are removed from the wall and break the woodpile obstructing your path. Climb up and there will be more spikes in front of you. Hit the spiny thing again to retract them to the floor. Keep climbing till you reach the rope and slide down. Kill the enemies that spawn and grab the third cipher.
Lake Of Light Cipher (Light Of Alfheim) #4
The 4th chest on this list was missed by so many people. Chances are you were one. I don’t blame you tho. Above all, God Of War 4 is so well done that they directed your attention to the left and put the cipher around the corner to the right. If you visited all 4 Cipher Locations you can now unlock Muspelheim.
River Pass Cipher Location (Witch’s Cave) #5
The witch’s cave in the river pass also has a purple chest. The location is by the HUGE turtle with a house on its back. Grab some crystal tree sap throw it on the wall then shoot it with some Atreus electric arrows. However, you will need to complete the Light Of Alfheim mission to be completed before this is accessible.
Cliffs Of The Raven Cipher (Lake Of Nine) #6
Muspelheim location 6 is on the lake of nine Southeast. Climb up a couple of walls and break the wooden barricade and boost Atreus to kick the chain down.
The Mountain Cipher (Return to the summit) #7
This location is number 7 (Last) because if you do not get it during the mission “Return to the summit” you will have to wait till you beat God Of War 4 to return. All the videos on youtube before I made this one had only had 4 and the mountain was one. Well, now you have 7 to choose from 🙂
